The 100 Best Films I’ve Not Seen

The list is a combination of films highly regarded by trusted sources and ones by directors I already adore, but most are both. As I watch them, I will cross them off the list. The bolded titles are the ten big ones, the ones I’ll probably love the most. Notice they aren’t particularly short films. This is no accident. Filmmakers with the most work to make the list: Rossellini (4); Fassbinder, Ford, Mizoguchi, Naruse, Oliveira, S. Ray, Rivette, Rohmer (3 each).
